Oh, Oberlin: Dawn Neely-Randall talks about too much standardized testing

Through almost five years in Oberlin I don’t think I spent the time talking with elementary language arts teacher Dawn Neely-Randall that I did today. And that’s a shame.

The show today revolved around her recent activity as an advocate for smarter testing of students … which is another way of saying less standardized testing. I’m better for having had the conversation.

I recorded the show on my phone today for playback on air and I have to say how pleasantly surprised I was by the quality of the sound I got.

I’ve also finished drafting my kickstarter proposal for taking the show the way of actual podcasting. That link will come soon. Enjoy the show in the meantime.
